There was commotion at Arise and Shine Interdenominational and Spiritual Church, Oshodi area of Lagos, after an angry woman, Mrs. Adeola Adeku Abimbola, allegedly invaded the church, chased away worshippers during service and locked up the church. P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at the church premises located at Akande Adebishi Street, Mafoluku area of Lagos.During the confusion, the worshippers abandoned the service, rushed out from the church auditorium to avoid being attacked and she locked up the church and went away. What could have made Mrs. Abimbola to take such decision during service, despite the fact that the General Overseer of the church, Rev. Mrs. Oluwayemisi Fadeyo, was present in the church was not disclosed.According to some of the residents, Abimbola had a disagreement with the General Overseer, Rev. Fadeyo, over an undisclosed matter, which prompted her actions in the church. However, her conduct was reported to the Police at Makinde Division. Abimbola was then arrested and detained at the station for her conduct. She was consequently charged before the Ogba Magistrate Court having been found culpable for the alleged offence by the Police. She pleaded not guilty when she was arraigned. The prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since she pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence. The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi, granted her bail with surety who must show evidence of means of livelihood and addresses verified by the Court. She was remanded in custody at the correctional centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when she will perfect her bail conditions while the matter was adjourned for mention.
