NANS SOUTH WEST.09/05/2024,"Press StatementThe Leadership of Nans Southwest today condemned the unjust arrest of Nigerian Students who were protesting peaceful at the Ibadan Zonal Head office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC).The Deputy Coordinator of Nans Southwest( Comrade Taiwo Owolewa) speaking on behalf of the zone today in Ekiti while addressing press men stated that it is right for Students to exercise their fundamental right and peacefully assemble themselves to protest against any form of intimidation, victimisation and oppression from any quarters.This blatant violation of their rights is a clear attempt to silence dissenting voices and stifle citizens' right to hold those in power accountable.We demand the immediate and unconditional release of our comrades and call on the EFCC to respect the rights of citizens to peaceful protest and freedom of expression.
