Fear Grips Policemen Extorting Abians As CP Talks Tough

Policemen serving in Abia State are currently threading with utmost carefulness as the Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Kenechukwu Onwuemelie has vowed a decisive action against those extorting money from Abians, ABN TV reports.The police boss handed the warning during a meeting with the Management Team, Area Commanders, DPOs, and Tactical Team Commanders on Thursday.The CP emphasized that professionalism among officers and men of the command must not be compromised.He frowned at extortion and vowed to take drastic actions against erring officers.CP Onwuemelie urged officers of the command to be steadfast and proactive in ensuring that all Abians are safe at all times.
