The Commissioner of Police in Rivers state, Olatunji Disu has announced the successful apprehension of approximately 26 suspects involved in a sophisticated operation targeting vehicle theft and robbery. He expressed joy over the capture of Chidozie Onyekwe, identified as the ringleader orchestrating car theft operations within Rivers state. He stated that Onyekwe's leadership role was underscored by his meticulous training of accomplices in the illicit trade. He highlighted that every criminal car theft perpetrated by the arrested individuals is linked to their leader Onyekwe.Elaborating further, he revealed that Onyekwe played a pivotal role in instructing his associates, ensuring their proficiency in executing car thefts with precision and efficiency. He stated that his influence extended to all members of the apprehended group, consolidating his authority within the criminal network dedicated to vehicle theft in Rivers State.
