Why I Prefer The Old National Anthem And Endorse The Reverse

A national anthem is supposed to embody a Nation. In the first and second line of that anthem talks about originality, nativity and our differences. Politically that’s true federalism, that’s confederation-alism, that’s understanding of Nigeria’s diverse makeup that’s understanding the problem.Prior to the first republic, we weren’t living in pretense we understood as things were and should be. “Though tribe and tongue may differ”, it freedom, it understanding our differences and finding a common ground for unity. I’m a centralist if Nigeria must exist, then I endorse the current political structure but the people there in should understand their differences and hold their loyalty to that differences and the center.People will complain for a while and accept reality. A National anthem is the first instrument of national identity and children imbibe it from a very early age in kindergarten and other lower education. It is a good place to start finding solution.
