Class Warfare And Labour Union

As a scholar in politics and economic, I've been meaning to discuss this topic for a while because i am of the OPINION that a lot of Nigerians are not politically and economically conscious and I am of the OPINION some poor Nigerian citizens are unknowingly aiding the elites win the class warfare that's been due for years. What is class warfare? It is the political and economic tension that exists between social classes in a society.During the Roman Empire, there were the Patricians and the Plebeians. The haves and have nots. Today, they're called elites and masses(I prefer the term citizens). If you're earning 1m per month in Nigeria today, you have more in common with a poor man than you have with the elites of Nigeria. This is just to make you understand where you stand because some of you make the mistake of gaslighting yourselves to believe you're elites. I'm sure you get the idea so I'm not going to go too deep into class struggle so as not to digress. You could read Cheikh Anta Diops Precolonial Black Africa or The Communist Manifesto Karl Marx or for those that prefer more imaginative books, read Animal Farm by George Orwell (my favourite writer)or The Great Gatsby. The main point of this topic is to try to make Nigerian citizens understand the relationship between the current labour union agitation for wage increment and class warfare. Regardless of the controversies around NLC, NLC is fighting for a cause that's beneficial to us the citizens against the politics/business elites. Therefore, should they successfully negotiate a salary increment of N400k - N600k for the citizens of Nigeria, it means we the people of Nigeria will have closed the wealth gap and temporarily won a class warfare.THE REAL CLASS WARFAREAfter increasing the wages of the citizens, how will the political elites pay? This is the real warfare.(1) Should the political elites choose to print more money to pay the citizens, that's too much money in circulation, which will lead to an inflation and so the 600k will have no value. Back to square one. And so the citizens will have lost the war.(2) Should the political elites choose to slash their wages and benefits inorder to afford the wage increments of the citizens( which is the ideal thing to do because Nigeria is like a business), then you have the same amount of money in circulation and a stable economy. Only then have we the citizens won the class warfare. But here's the tricky part, it is the political elites that are also the lawmakers in charge of slashing their wages 😅 so your political elites will have to do it out of the kindness of their hearts. Will you leave your survival to the kindness of wicked men? THE REAL SOLUTIONThis is why I urge Nigerian youths, Nigerian professionals who gaslight themselves to be elites to join THE MOVEMENT OF THE PEOPLE (MOP CENTRE) on Instagram or X. I know many professionals that are not even middle class anymore because of class warfare and it can happen to you too! MOP is a political group for the oppressed people of Nigeria. Enough Obi, Atiku and Tinubu. Let we the POOR AND OPPRESSED people East, North, West represent ourselves. In the private sector, the workers might have to use unions to implement the wage increment. Significant changes will be made to the structure of wage distribution in the private sector also where we have less multi millionaires and plenty middle class and less poor people resembling the Japanese economy. As an economist, I believe this singular wage increment could force Nigeria to begin to practice true Capitalism where Capitalists rely on innovation to make profit not through enslavement. We Nigerians work and earn like slaves. Even foreigners come to Nigeria with their investments, make quadriple of their initial investment only for Nigerians to still be earning 30k. Shows that our political elites are pure wicked. P.S I'm just a scholar, these are my own political and economic ideologies and I'm very open to arguments. What are your thoughts?Remember to join MOP.
