Tinubu Building Centre Of Excellence For Environmental Restoration In Rivers

The FG is building a Centre of Excellence for Environmental Restoration (CEER) in Khana LGA of Rivers State.The Centre when completed will serve as a national and international hub for research in environmental remediation and data repositories of the Ogoni Clean-up Project.Before leaving office, former President Buhari on April 28, 2023 virtually flagged off the construction of the centre in Rivers State.The centre which is a component of the Ogoni cleanup exercise is part of the Federal Government’s efforts to turn around socioeconomic life of Ogoni people who have suffered years of environmental pollution.
